Our friend and board member Daria Miyeko Marinelli (Beautiful Blessed Child) returns to New York with an immersive theatre piece directed by another frequent collaborator in Dominique Rider (Legitime, Ivy 1859). This piece, which was workshopped by Playwrights Realm last year, is part guided audio walking tour of downtown Manhattan and part interactive resistance training. Even better, Playwrights Realm offers flexible ticket pricing and reimbursements toward caregiving costs incurred by coming to the event. Accessible theatre is the best theatre!

A Little About The Show
What do you do in these five-alarm fire days? Every time you look there’s another news alert about something terrible. Your to-do list is overflowing, and you want to help but… how and what exactly can you do about it anyway?!? You know what, let’s take a walk.
This is Not Not a Drill is an audio-guided walking tour of Downtown Manhattan’s rebellious past meets interactive resistance training. And by resistance training, we mean an offering to help you strengthen the muscles needed in this flood-the-zone semi-fascist mess. Explore the tactics used by this city’s past activists and practice a skill (aka a drill) to add to your tool belt in these very Not a Drill times. Lace up your sneakers, baby. This is a go.
