Andrea Abello

Known to her dearest as Dre, ANDREA ABELLO [she/her] is a queer Colombian-American actor, poet, and educator based in Brooklyn. She speaks English, Spanish, and French fluently. Recently: Change Agent by Craig Lucas at Arena Stage. Off-Broadway: Soho Rep, NYTW, Signature Theater, EST, New Group, Fault Line Theatre, Playwrights Realm, IRT, INTAR. Regional: St. Louis Rep., Actors Theatre of Louisville. TV: "FBI" (CBS), “Lisey's Story” (Apple TV+) written by Stephen King & produced by J.J. Abrams. Andrea is a teaching artist with Arts Ignite (formerly ASTEP), Exploring the Arts, Classical Theatre of Harlem, and CSC. She also offers private Spanish language tutoring for young people and adults. She is a recipient of the Leonard A. Slade Jr. Poetry Fellowship with the Martha’s Vineyard Institute of Creative Writing.
